Dirk’s Back! Let’s Party!

Kuyt can and probably will make a big impact in his return tomorrow.

The Flying Dutchman  has returned. Kuyt who was expected to be out until the new year, apparently might make a much-needed return against Chelsea, tomorrow.

He injured ankle ligaments. He had surgery. His recovery was supposed to last til January — you know, the usual amount of time it takes for an athlete to recover from a surgery like that. If he starts tomorrow, the first question that needs to be asked is: How?

Regardless, Kuyt will be vital for the Reds when they face their biggest test of the season. Chelsea is just too good this year.

IT would be a huge boost for Kuyt, especially after his recent car trouble.

This is the squad I think will get the green light if Kuyt can go.

Reina, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Konchesky, Kuyt, Gerrard, Meireles, Maxi, Lucas, Torres

That is probably the best lineup we can muster (except for Konchesky) keeping in mind the injuries that we have.

Hodgson needs to utilize Jovanovic off of the bench and possibly Ngog if we need goals late. A match without Poulsen would be a nice change.

For Liverpool to actually pull off a win; well that would just be epic. Realistically, Liverpool can very well steal a couple points from the Blues. But even that would be something that would make the world stop and look at the club.

Maybe, after winning three straight and two in the Premiership, this is exactly what the club need. If the Reds want to get back into the conversation regarding being one of the best English clubs, they are going to have to hang with clubs like Chelsea. If Liverpool want to just go back to sinking into obscurity, they can get steamrolled. Something tells me they are going to do the former.

The match is at 11am ET.
